The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 2 verses 26 to 37

The Book of Deuteronomy
 Chapter 2

²⁶ So I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to King Sihon of Heshbon with the following terms of peace: ²⁷ "If you let me pass through your land, I will travel only along the road; I will turn aside neither to the right nor to the left. ²⁸ You shall sell me food for money, so that I may eat, and supply me water for money, so that I may drink. Only allow me to pass through on foot-²⁹ just as the descendants of Esau who live in Seir have done for me and likewise the Moabites who live in Ar-until I cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us."

(The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 2 verses 26 to 29)

Oh God my Father, Your people did not want obligations or ask for charity, they wanted to pass on good terms with no ulterior motives. I pray to be honest and fair in all my dealings with humanity Amen. Oh God my Father, likewise I pray that Your will for me may unfold and that nothing will hinder me from living according to the plan that You have outlined for me Amen.

³⁰ But King Sihon of Heshbon was not willing to let us pass through, for the LORD your God had hardened his spirit and made his heart defiant in order to hand him over to you, as he has now done.

(The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 2 verse 30)

Oh God my blessed Father, when we show motivation to live according to Your will all the demons of hell are let loose against us in order to stop us from behaving according to Your will. Therefore brothers and sisters if you try and live well and many things that your world is turning upside town be aware that you are up against evil forces, therefore, fast and pray for deliverance Amen.

³¹ The LORD said to me, "See, I have begun to give Sihon and his land over to you. Begin now to take possession of his land."

(The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 2 verse 31)

Oh God my Father You have given us the power to fight against our greatest enemy and that is our self, our brain, our thwarted perceptions, our false beliefs about others God and even about ourselves. Today God is giving us these enemies into our hands in order to claim a victory over them Amen. Thank You Jesus Amen.

³² So when Sihon came out against us, he and all his people for battle at Jahaz, ³³ the LORD our God gave him over to us; and we struck him down, along with his offspring and all his people.

(The Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 2 verses 32 to 33)

Oh God my Father You are my champion, there is nobody like You. You fight my enemies with arrows of love and You have Your ways which are always victorious Amen.

³⁴ At that time we captured all his towns, and in each town we utterly destroyed men, women, and children. We left not a single survivor.

(The Book of Numbers Chapter 3 verse 34)

Oh God my Father, not that I am in favour of war and bloodshed, however in this situation it was a test of being obedient to Your will or not. Many times we face situations were we are tested in our obedience both to You and to our superiors and we are required to do what they ask us to do even if at times this means going against our will Amen

³⁵ Only livestock we kept as spoil for ourselves, as well as the plunder of the towns that we had captured.

(The Book of Numbers Chapter 3 verse 35)

Oh God my Father even though I am not a person who is in favour of violence and bloodshed I value the need for survival. and that all that is necessary for our livelihood is not to be wasted. I pray that we adhere to positive values and be positive people Amen.

³⁶ From Aroer on the edge of the Wadi Arnon (including the town that is in the wadi itself) as far as Gilead, there was no citadel to high for us. The Lord our God gave everything to us. ³⁷ You did not encroach, however, on the land of the Ammonites, avoiding the whole upper region of the Wadi Jabbok as well as the town of the hill country, just as the LORD our God had charged.

(The Book of Numbers Chapter 3 verses 36 to 37)

Oh God my Father You give everything that is necessary to us, even if we do not ask you for them. I trust that in Your good and God time this trauma will be over and will be able to live in my house that will be confirmed as being mine and start to embark on my future plans that I pray will be according to Your will Amen.

Oh God my blessed Father I would like to end this reflection on the second chapter of the book of Deuteronomy with the following prayer:

Oh Dearest God my Father You make a way where there seems to be no way, You bring order where there is sin and confusion, I pray that You intervene in my life and restore this state of blessed order. I pray that You control the forces of evil that day and night are there to harass me and continue to add fuel to the state of chaos in order to make matters more complicated. Amen.
